Healing through Connection

Can you imagine feeling deeply connected to yourself? Being able to take in the nourishment of care and connection, of feeling seen and understood. Can you imagine feeling safe enough in your body, your life, and your world to stop having to effort so much and to truly thrive?

Working together one-on-one is a powerful way to learn the skills of nervous system regulation and trauma healing. We’ll explore your life experience with compassionate curiosity, bringing in understanding and reducing shame and self-criticism. Together we can create a space of healing, to honor all of you and your experiences. This work is for those ready to go deep into their healing journey. It is about gently finding safety and connection in your body, and finding your way back to your essence and vitality.

Together, we’ll get to know the ways your story has been written and held in your body. We’ll find parts to celebrate and we’ll find parts to help shift. This is an individualized process that is tailored to your unique body, experience, and intentions.

Some people choose to schedule individual sessions weekly or biweekly. I also offer a therapy and coaching package, billed monthly, which includes 3-4 individual sessions, as well as contact during working hours through text, email, or voxer to help support you in real time and from day-to-day. This also includes personalized goals setting and homework

Our Bodies Remember.

frequently asked questions

  • 1. Focus on the Body: Unlike traditional therapy, which often relies heavily on verbal communication, somatic therapy integrates the experiences and sensations of the body into the healing process. It recognizes that the body stores memories, emotions, and trauma, and aims to address these aspects through bodily awareness and techniques.

    2. Holistic Approach: Somatic therapy takes a holistic approach to healing, considering the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit. It views symptoms and struggles not just as isolated mental or emotional issues but as manifestations of deeper bodily and psychological imbalances.

    3. Embodied Experience: Rather than solely analyzing thoughts and feelings, somatic therapy encourages clients to explore their experiences on a bodily level. This can involve techniques such as mindfulness, breathwork, movement, and body awareness exercises to help clients reconnect with their physical sensations and inner wisdom.

    4. Trauma-Informed: Somatic therapy is particularly effective for addressing trauma, as it recognizes the physiological effects of trauma on the body. By working with bodily sensations and rhythms, somatic therapists help clients process and release stored trauma in a safe and supportive environment.

  • The duration of somatic therapy and the time it takes to see results can vary depending on several factors including the complexity and severity of the issues being addressed. Some concerns may be resolved relatively quickly, while others may require more time and ongoing support.

It's essential to recognize that healing is a gradual process, and there's no one-size-fits-all answer to how long somatic therapy will take to work. Some clients may experience noticeable improvements within a few sessions, while others may require months or even years of consistent therapy to achieve their goals.

Many of the practices can be implemented right away, and shifts can happen quickly. It is also true that deep healing happens over time, at a pace different for everyone. This can be an ongoing discussion and assessment as we work together.

  • Individual sessions are $180.

Another option is a package for $950/month, which includes four individual sessions, access my Somatic Skills 101 course, individualized homework, experiential activities, and somatic coaching and support throughout the week.

These rates are reflective of my training, expertise, and the energetic exchange of this work. I do not work with insurance. I hold space for some sliding scale clients.

  • Let’s schedule a free consultation. Once we talk, if it seems like a great fit and it feels like a full body yes all around, we’ll pick a date to get started and a consistent day/time on the schedule to meet.

I’ll send you a basic contract with things in it like confidentiality and info about the sessions. Then I’ll send an invoice for your first session, and an intake form that will help us dive into your process together.

Sometimes there’s a waitlist and in that case, we’ll let you know where you are on the waitlist and keep you updated on this.
